A woman, with a stained past that's made her bitter at the world, lies patiently on her deathbed. In her wardrobe looms a deathly entity waiting to take her. Her only companion is Scarecrow, a spiritually-connected being that has accompanied Woman her entire life and now sits with her until the end. Woman and Scarecrow look back at their shared history and bicker over the many choices they've made, slowly coming to terms with their identity. Woman & Scarecrow is a Faustian tale enriched with Carr's poetic dialogue and gothic atmosphere.

Woman & Scarecrow debuted virtually as part of Theatre Fairfield's 2020-21 season. It was Park Lytle's directorial debut and consisted entirely of students at Fairfield university.
