Shackleton Theatrics
periculum explorandum
Shackleton Theatrics is the theatre production banner Park Lytle runs and operates as lead producer.
Shackleton Theatrics seeks to find and generate stories that are in pursuit of The Spirit of Adventure. It is our primary goal to produce new works and forgotten classics that value colorful stories that are anchored by
fast-paced narratives culminating in a deep emotional catharsis.
Whatever genres, tones, or themes used in pursuit of that criteria, are less important. The idea of adventure is a very open concept, and can come from projects of massive scope and scale, or incredibly intimate and personal experiences. We are focused on making our audiences feel that they have gone on a journey. The idea that the world they’re re-entering once the show ends is not quite the same as the one they left when the show began.
Take a look through some of our past and ongoing projects to get a greater sense of what Shackleton Theatrics is all about, and the kind of work we would hope to collaborate on in the future.
